Majesco Entertainment Company and Zumba Fitness LLC have partnered to bring the Zumba fitness experience to video games. As a mom trying to keep in shape I'm always interested in new and exciting ways to keep fit.

Note: I was invited as media and received a flip cam used to capture all my cool dance moves. Any views expressed are my own.

So I laced up my sneakers and went to a Zumba Fitness preview session for the video game. Within a few minutes I was moving, swaying and shaking it. The workouts steps took some time to learn and get right but there's a training session within Zumba Fitness. Also on the workout screen there's gauges that show if you're matching the moves right. You can hear more about this in one of the videos taken during my work out.

During the session I learned the background of The Zumba Fitness program and how it works on the different video game platforms: Wii, X-Box 360 with Kinect and PlayStation.

Then I watched one of the Zumba instructor demonstrate a workout. It looked like so much fun so I agreed to try workout myself! I was joined by Zumba Fitness® Instructor Gina Grant, who a mom of 4.!

Figuring out the controls was simple. You chose the workout you wanted, the features and then jump right in. The video game teaches several different dance styles including Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Belly Dancing and more.

  1. Thanks for this review! I have the Zumba DVDs and I've been doing them for a couple of weeks and love them! I just pre-ordered the Zumba Fitness for the Wii on Amazon yesterday.

I'm not a fan of exercise, but I absolutely love Zumba! It's so much fun.

And Gina has 4 kids? WHAAAATTTT? I have 3 and my belly shows it. ;-) Maybe if I keep doing Zumba I'll look like Gina one day...here's hoping.
