One of the things I missed most during my years of motherhood was wearing jewelry. Now that my son has grown to the point where my ears and his hands get along, I'd like to wear fashionable jewelry again. Since I didn't know where to start I was excited to be invited to preview lia sophia fall/winter collection

Please Note: I was invited as media and received a product samples for review purposes. Views expressed are always 100% my own.

I was given 2 items from the lia sophia collection. One item was the Multi-Strand Hematite Necklace. Seven layers of faceted hematite-glass beads fashion an incredibly radiant necklace. Adjustable 16-19" necklace with a lobster claw clasp incorporates a detachable 3" extender chain. I wore this while covering an evening event for Around Harlem and the necklace received many compliments.

It was very comfortable to wear and I loved the sparkle and weight of the necklace. It was a perfect fit for an evening sipping wine and rubbing elbows with some high profile people like former Major David Dinkins.

The other item was the Waverly Earrings These hoops have been crimped, hammered and polished to reflect light in amazing ways. I wore these earring when I was on the Nate Berkus Show. They are comfortable and light. Again I received many compliments on them. I really like that the hammered texture gives them more appeal then a basic hoop earring.

The appeal of lia sophia fashion jewelry is that it can easily be mixed and matched for different looks for any occasion. Pieces include silver, gold and necklace pendants that can be combined to go from casual day to sophisticated night. Classic styles are made to match jewelry you may already have at home. Trendier styles are designed to reflect fashion trends.

All the jewelry in the lia sophia catalog is affordable with pieces starting at $14. Each piece comes with a unique lifetime replacement guarantee.

  1. Their warranty is horrible. Rings tarnish after a very short period of time. When you return them, the company sends you a 'comparable' piece AND charges you $10 to do so. I will not purchase from them again.

  2. Sorry you had such a not nice experience. I've had my jewelry for a while now with no tarnish problems. Since I did not need to return I can't speak on their exchange policies and charges.

  3. I sell lia sophia and its actually a $5 charge after 3 months if u need to exchange or return an item. The ring tarnishing happens when people keep their jewelry on when the use soaps, lotions, etc....bound to happen with any silver product.

Please be aware of the actual policy....you will never simply be provided with a different piece of jewelry when you return. You are issued a merchandise credit via email if you dont want a replacement or the item is no longer available. The credit will be for the full value of your item (what u paid). You can redeem your cert online for anything.

As an advisor i have used the return policy...its a no questions asked policy and you can return anything as long as you keep your receipt...what other company will take back a piece of jewelry my daughter smashed on the floor or a necklace i have worn a 100 times and simply dont like any more....great company to buy from and work for!
