Recently I was invited to tour The Royal Suite at The New York Palace, which was is a luxury suite perfect for a prince or princess....or regular people wanting the royal treatment during a special event or celebration.

The palatial Royal Suite features 3,600 square feet of classic opulence and state of the art amenities. Rococo rooms revive French period décor, from the King Louis XV to the Napoleon eras, all furnished with luxurious silks and emblazoned with imperial golds.

An Italian marble foyer welcomes you into this magnificent Manhattan property. A master bedroom and two guest chambers —one with a king bed, one with two doubles—provides plush sleeping arrangements with touch-screen controlled temperature and privacy settings for your comfort.

French doors provide free-flowing movement between a double-size living room, full pantry and formal twelve-seat dining room, making entertaining an extraordinarily elegant affair. A drawing room decorated with gold leaf and cranberry silk recalls the grand halls of Versailles.

Deeper inside, uniquely appointed his and hers dressing rooms flank the grand master bedroom of the suite. Hers features an oversized soaking tub offset by silk drapes and Grecian columns; his has an antique barber chair perfect for a gentleman’s shave. Thoughtfully cordoned guest chambers, each with its own full bath, ensure complete privacy for your guests.

Have you thought abut holding your family union in a hotel suite? How about graduation party? Or wedding reception? These are not events normally held in a hotel suite but can easily be done. The Royal Suite at The New York Palace has both enough space to accommodate guest and food that can be catered for your next event

While I only toured the The Royal Suite at The New York Palace, the hotel offers many other suites with modern decor and amenities.

The Towers is a separate and distinct part of The New York Palace, occupying the hotel’s top 14 floors. With a private reception area, accessible from the main lobby, the Towers come complete with a dedicated Les Clefs d'Or concierge team, exclusively for The Towers guests. Elevators transport guests to floors 41 through 53, which house luxurious accommodations with spectacular skyline views.

The Towers’ Rooms & Suites: feature updated rooms and suites that invoke a ‘home away from home’ feel. A soft, subdued color palette places the main emphasis on one of the best features of The Towers – the breathtaking city views from the suites’ windows. Pops of color will also come from the mixed media artwork that adorn the walls, selected by art advisor Nancy Sweeney. Strong geometric elements punctuate the furniture, carpet, and textiles in the renovated rooms.

The Metropolitan Suite, a 2 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath suite. Each room was inspired by the urban fabric of New York City; the living room using yellow and blue accent colors which are derived from streaming taxi’s below and a serene sky above; the master suite referencing the city’s night views; and the second bedroom includes butterflies flying toward the window amidst a black and white photo collection of iconic New York images. Eclectic furniture is introduced throughout the suite and is layered with additional artwork, color and texture to create a space that feels like a living art gallery.

Note: I was invited as media to this event. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

As you can see The New York Palace Hotel offers lots of options for more then just sleeping. Next time you plan to celebrate a special occasion -- from lavish proposals, to weddings, baby showers (hence the Royal Suite in honor of the impending royal birth), girlfriend getaways, milestone anniversaries and more, visit -
