During the event I spoke with different LEGOLAND Parks representatives to learn more about what families can look forward to do this year.

To help families visual the fun, the new attractions were featured as LEGO models. Both my son and I were so amazed at these detailed models of the attractions found in the LEGO parks.

The New LEGO World of Chima:
  • Just opened last summer, the LEGO World of Chima at LEGOLAND® Florida features an interactive water ride, the “Quest for CHI”, a “Speedorz Arena”, “Cragger’s Swamp” water play area, a 4D movie experience as well as character meet and greet sessions.
  • The centerpiece attraction, The Quest for CHI, features an interactive splash battle water ride where the whole family will join forces with the Lion Tribe on this super-wet adventure to defend the powerful energy source, CHI, from Cragger and the Crocodile Tribe. After boarding the watercraft, families will use water cannons to activate the story in each of the scenes along their journey as well as have a chance to battle other boats and guests along the shore line.
  • Cragger’s Swamp is an interactive water play area that allows toddlers and guests of all ages to splash and play. Guests will enter the secret bounds of the Croc tribe’s hideout and find a lush green foggy swamp with playful bubbles, intermittent water spouts and interactive elements that trigger swamp water effects.

DUPLO Valley:
  • LEGOLAND Florida’s DUPLO® Valley, a new expansion area specifically geared to toddlers ages 2 to 5, will officially open to guests on May 23, 2014, just in time for family-fun over Memorial Day weekend.
  • The central feature of DUPLO Valley will be the DUPLO Train where toddlers will be able to board a train on their own or with their parents to explore countryside-themed scenery passing through farms, fishing holes and campgrounds.
  • For those looking to cool off, the new splash and play area will be refreshingly fun with intermittent water spouts and interactive water elements set among larger than life farm animals with a soft deck for safety.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester

Right now LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester is having a fun contest in search of twelve children aged 5 to 10 to be part of their new Creative Crew at LDC! The Creative Crew will assist our Master Model Builder, with important tasks throughout the year.

To apply, children must answer the questions “What makes you the biggest LEGO fan, and why should you be part of the Construction Crew?”

Answers can be submitted until Friday, March 21 by video or with a photo and written answer. To learn more, view Contest rules and submission requirements

This year will be filled with lots of fun for LEGOLAND fans. Start planning to visit now!
