A Day with KidzVuz & Hotel Transylvania 2 at The Bronx Zoo #HotelT2atthezoo #HotelT2
Last weekend we spent a fun filled day with our friends at KidzVuz to get ready for the movie release of Hotel Transylvania 2.
Note: I was invited as media to this event and received a gift bag. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
Our morning started with breakfast at the Congo Gorilla Forest. A lovely spot to see different animals including the Gorillas while enjoying a meal. Then we had a meet and greet surprise with the Drac Pack, who posed for photos with the kids and their families.
Some families like Dancing Hots and Next Kid Thing wore their Hotel T capes for their photo moment. The capes and other themed items were part of a gift bag for the families from the Sony Hotel Transylvania 2 team.
After getting our morning started with the Drac Pack, the families headed over to the Bronx Zoo's Jungle World Exhibit for a "Bat Chat" to learn more about the giant bats known as flying foxes!

Indian fruit bats are commonly known as greater Indian flying foxes because of their size, reddish-brown coat, large eyes, and dog-like faces. They are one of the largest bat species in the world with a wingspan of approximately four to five feet.
Unlike many bats, fruit bats navigate and find their food by sight and are more active when there is still some daylight. Other species of bats are only active at night and use echolocation to find insects and small vertebrates.
Bats play a vital role in the ecology of many landscapes around the world. They are important to many species of plants and trees in their role as pollinators and seed dispersers. In the wild, they feed on a wide variety of fruits and flowers
My son and I enjoyed this "Bat Chat" because we didn't even know they had bats (much less 23) in this exhibit! We learned something new!
After the bat learning we enjoyed Hotel Transylvania 2 themed activities including coloring and crafting. Monster masks anyone?
We ended our day at the Children's Zoo, where my son climbed trees with friends, fed the animals and tried staring down the Lamas. BTW, the Lama won.
Thank you KidzVuz and Sony Hotel Transylvania 2 team for such a fun day at The Bronx Zoo.

Movie Synopsis:
The Drac pack is back for an all-new monster comedy adventure in Sony Pictures Animation's Hotel Transylvania 2!
Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania... Dracula’s rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire.
So while Mavis is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – “Vampa” Drac enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp.
But little do they know that Drac’s grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty!
Cast: Adam Sandler (Dracula), Andy Samberg (Johnny), Selena Gomez (Mavis), Kevin James (Frank), Fran Drescher (Eunice), Steve Buscemi (Wayne), Molly Shannon (Wanda), David Spade (Griffin), Keegan-Michael Key (Murray), and Mel Brooks (Vlad)
Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, produced by Michelle Murdocca, executive-produced by Sandler, Allen Covert, and Ben Waisbren, and written by Robert Smigel.
In Theaters September 25, 2015
