Once again Nickelodeon is bringing their Worldwide Day of Play Celebration to Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Get ready to bring your family out for a full day of fun. We attended last year (and will again this year) and it was awesome!
Note: I was invited as media to this event. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
Brooklyn's Prospect Park is a great spot for Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play Celebration. The park will be filled with Nickelodeon-themed games and fitness-themed activities.
Last year some of the activities we enjoyed included
Running the NFL PLAY 60 course
Blowing with the giant ball and pins
Launching slime
Playing hoops
Bike racing
And that was just a few of the activities we enjoyed. After all that physical fun, we took some time to enjoy some of the healthy snacks offered.
We also posed for photos with some of the Nickelodeon characters at the different activity areas.
While we had lots of fun last year, I know that this years Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play Celebration will be even more fun! I can't wait to attend. If you live in the NYC area, I hope to see you and your family there!
Once again the event will feature fun-filled Nickelodeon-themed games and more than 25 fitness-themed activities hosted by Nickelodeon partners, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, Major League Baseball’s Play Ball (PlayBall.org), National Basketball Association, NFL PLAY 60, the United States Tennis Association, Up2Us Sports and more!
Families can also see Nickelodeon stars from Saban’s Power Rangers Dino Charge and Every Witch Way who will be on hand throughout the day, playing and encouraging kids and their families to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives.
WHEN:
Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015
10:00 a.m-3:00 p.m.
WHERE:

This event is a lead up to Nickelodeon’s 12th annual Worldwide Day of Play (Sept. 26), when its TV channels, websites and app–Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Nick Jr., TeenNick, Nick.com, NickJr.com, Nicktoons.com, TeenNick.com and the Emmy® Award-winning Nick App –will go off-air and offline from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (all times ET/PT), and more than 4,000 events will be held nationwide to celebrate kids and all the ways they stay active through play.
